Ever Wanted

All I ever wanted was

For a pair of hands

To hold me when I am stranded.

For a pair of eyes

To look into my eyes

To assure me everything was going to be nice.

When the world turned deaf ears.

But alas that is what is hard to find.

bee sting

It was a beautiful morning. My room filled with sunlight. Everything was bright and the air smelled fresh of grass and daisies. I slowly got out of my bed feeling something was not right. I got ready yet the thought kept coming inside my head that something is bound to happen. I left home for office. Nothing happened yet. I got into my office cab. As we drove my instinct grew stronger and stronger. We stopped at a particular place to pick my fellow colleague. As we waited my attention suddenly drew to a black crawly thing on my lap. Before I could throw it out it gave me a quick sting on my elbow leaving a red sting mark. I managed to throw it outside. I started to think. Whatever the insect did was in its self defense. It did not know the nature of its attacker or my case- the non harming passenger.All it wanted was to escape alive and all it could give me was a quick sting that left a deep mark.
I started thinking whether this was applicable to us human beings too. Do we try to escape situations by giving a sting to others without actually realizing the nature of threat others posses? Thankfully my sting can be treated but what about the sting that one human being leaves on another?

PS: my sting became a small bump but thanks to natural med like turmeric its wearing off.

Lenka Fever

It's Lenka Fever in the air for me. Having heard for the first time when windows 8 ad came up all I thought was - another regular song. But it was only after I heard it for next several days did I pay attention to its lyrics. I tried to figure out the artist name or whatever I could possibly remember of the song. Damn it!!! I forgot the ad for which it was being used. Was it a tab or a smart phone of some kind. There I lost it. Nothing was coming to my mind. So had to let go as usual. Days passed as usual. I was doing the dishes when suddenly I heard the familiar music play in the background. I dropped whatever I was doing and rushed to get a glimpse of the video. Lenka it was.... song name -"Everything at once"..... Once I got hold of the song in my hands I haven't put it down yet... My other favorite - "Roll with the punches". There is something in her voice that makes me want to listen to her again and again. Lyrics are so simple yet they pour out like milk and honey.... Lenka does have magic in her voice.
