She..

She was wrapped in red
And tucked in a basket
And they carried her away
Where it is neither dark nor day
Into the woods she was cast away

Away from men away from their kind
All they heard was a howl so loud
Leaving the basket and her to die
They ran like scared antlers away to hide
They turned and saw the basket was gone
So was the cry and only silence was on

The dark wood was magical they say
It never sleeps or stops some say

Under the starry sky stood a wolf
Gnawing at the basket in which she lay

Time passed, rivers rose again,
The hills filled with roar and a howl

The beast and the beauty
Staring into each other's eye
Each was ready for the kill
He was fast, she was faster

And into the heart she plunged her spear
Smearing herself with the winner's medal
She cut of the head and carried it to him
He stood tall, grey and bigger than ever

He howled, she howled louder
They danced in circles of joy and pride
The wind carried a roar of terror
Scaring any living being to his death

He stood on his fours, she climbed on his back
Tugging his fur, she kissed his neck
With a mighty howl they jumped from rock to rock
Racing against the wind, with all their might
Some call them eternal lovers, others the devil's duo

A beauty and beast be together
And never harm each other
It was then their love was tested
A hunter's arrow brought him down

She vowed never to part him in life or death
She cut her heart to be with him once and  for all
Their bodies found and burnt in a pyre so fierce

They stood lifeless in what they saw
She rose from the ashes just like him

A snarl and a snap was all that they heard
Into a dust they whole village was charred
They lovers were united for all they were
The beauty had found her beast they say
And to this day they can hear them howl
They eternal lovers united in life and death

The Spirit Of Flight

The spirit of flight
Helped me embrace life again
Before giving up every pain.
To see a new life a new light
To find what ended last night.

The spirit of flight
Helped me understand
What I had in my hand.
Gave my dreams wings to fly
All I needed to do was try.

The spirit of flight
Gave way to new heights
It is when I began my flight.
She stood as my reason to fight
And wrong gave way to right.

The spirit of flight
Came to me when all was lost
Bound to a book that was tossed.
She inspires me on my worst days
To continue to hold on as always.

The spirit of flight
Is an embodiment of happiness
When they drive you to madness.
She keeps my inner demons away
To make the inner me stay.

I shall

I shall take you really high
Right across the bright blue sky
I shall be the ground you tread
With nothing for you to dread

I shall pray for you every night
No matter how hard we fight
I shall wipe your tears away
and make the wrong ones pay

I shall fight the world with you
and lead you away from the blue
I shall be your ears and eyes
you shall never have to think twice

I shall follow you wherever you go
Facing every sun, shower and snow
I shall be the reason for your smile
and your tears every once in a while

I shall break many to keep one
and you needn't worry about none
I shall be whatever you want to be
Friend or sister or just a bumbling bee

I shall gently water your soul
And tenderly nurture it to whole
I shall mend your broken heart
Healing it slowly part by part

I shall wait to be by your side again
Being away from you is such a great pain
I shall  be yours again in every birth
That is how much you are worth to me

Death...

Who is this death
Could he be young or old
A monster or a charmer,
Cloaked in black,
With a loud evil groan

He has no right or wrong
No young or old
Nor weak or might
He is busy as ever
From morning till night

He knows no happiness
No joy has he tasted
No life has he spared
No cry has been heard
No plea has been bargained

When does he strike
Whom does he choose
No one can stop his coming
Some see him as a blessing
Most see him as a curse

He has no starting
He has no ending
Known to man before time
At times he ends a beginning
And often begins the ending

I see him as an innocent little child
Who will walk to me one night
And take away the pain
Wash away the tears
And lead me into the light.

The Tattered doll

In the corner of my room
Stands an old wooden chest
Dressed in yesteryear's dust
All things old and broken
Awaiting an unknown fate

I opened the chest to find
A tattered doll of mine
Of fond memories it smelled
A hole filled in my heart
Tears ran down my eyes

She was broken and alone
She didn't have a smile
Her face had lost the shine
I was taken back to another time
another place, another me I saw

The days of pure laughter
Filled with sheer innocence
Happiness running all around
I sat on the old swing
Holding her in my arms

What was once inseparable
Got lost in the track of time
Forgotten or thrown out
To reach for something else
That was never there

What have I missed
In the growing up years
Is it more than just a toy
I hold her closer than ever
For all that is bound her
